Postby ZK-DWF » Mon Sep 25, 2023 5:45 pm

Come sim-flying with us on the evening of 1 October 2023 (Sunday) starting at 7.30pm (NZDT).

This time we are in Southern England visiting soccer stadiums, and the Brands Hatch and Silverstone Grand Prix circuits.
Also, on the return leg we'll do a flyover of Stonehenge.

Departing Biggin Hill (EGKB), we'll do a short trip to Brands Hatch before heading northwest for a 'touch and go' at London City Airport (EGLC).
Then we continue heading northwest past the West Ham and Tottenham soccer stadiums, for another 'touch and go' at Luton (EGGW)
We then head west to fly over Silverstone to line up for a 'touch and go' at Turweston (EGBT).
Then we head south over the Salisbury Plains to view Stonehenge, before returning towards London to land at Farnborough (EGLF).

Flying will be in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Server is West Europe/
Time set is 1200 hours (1200 NZT).
Weather is optional.
Aircraft is the DA40.
Flight takes under 90 minutes.

Some pics from Sunday's flight

Silverstone has a big hole in the middle ...

Stonehenge ... Personally, I was expecting something bigger ...

Just a few km from Stonehenge was the Bulford Kiwi ...

Although this picture below doesn't do it justice, we all agreed that the weather effects and frame rates have improved with SU 13.
With being on the West Europe Server, the skies were busy. That is Heathrow traffic in the background.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

I didn't see that hole in Silverstone, but my Stonehenge was a flat image too, not actually 3D like in your pic. My UK is all default.
