Group VFR Flight from Queenstown to Mount Cook - Sunday, 12 June 2022

Here's an invitation to join our informal group VFR flight on the evening of 12 June 2022 (Sunday) starting at 7.30pm (NZDT).

Continuing on from our last flight in the South Island, we depart Queenstown (NZQN) to Mount Cook (NZMC).

Lots of aerodromes to visit along the way - Wanaka (NZWF), Dingleburn Station (NZWC), Omarama (NZOA), Pukaki (NZUK), Tekapo (NZTL) and Glentanner (NZGT).
Unless ORBX have fixed their NZ Mesh, it would pay to use the default NZ mesh.

Should take about 1.5 hours. This probably suits light aircraft like the Cessna 152 or 172.
A chance to download and view the new Mount Cook scenery by NZA.

Flying will be in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Server is South East Asia.
Time set is 1200 hours (noon NZT)

Using Discord 'Long White Cloud' Server for voice traffic. Please try and have voice available. It makes its easier for everyone to know what's going on.

See you there, Dave (ZKDWF)

As much as I love flying the RV-14, it might be useful for the flight organizer (you, in this case) to specify a particular built-in aircraft so that everyone has the same performance and we can see the 'actual' aircraft depicted rather than a substitute for an add-on.
I'll try to make this one.
Top Gun Maverick was awesome, but the way; at least for someone my age who was heavily influenced as a 'youngster' for the first Top Gun.

I think that is a good idea. The last flight had us all in similar aircraft ( all X Cub based) and it was good seeing them. I even jumped out of the RV14A and in to the NX Cub for the leg and apart from failing when i dipped my wheels in the lake and had to play catch up, it was great being in the same aircraft. I don't think it needs to be all the same exact aircraft but similar performance would be great.
