An interesting find on FlightRadar this afternoon, was a Global Hawk roaming around, way up at 55,000.

Very interesting.
Just look how ATC has shoehorned everyone into that corridor south of Ukraine.
I imagine the GH has its transponder on, just to remind the goons with BUK anti-aircraft systems in East Ukraine that they should perhaps not take another shot at a passing airliner.

Hello Charl!
Excellent addition to Marty's Post, on the disastrous goings-on in Ukraine at the moment!

It occupies all of my news-reading at the moment!

Paul.

Always interesting to see the USAF tankers doing circles. There were two of these in that area the other day.

I wonder how many fighters are using these tankers?

What you will NOT see is a track of the Antonov Mriya.

Some interesting FLIGHT PLANS may appear above New Zealand: CHASIS, XWING, CHEWBAKA, STARDESTROYER, SHEPHERD ONE, DISCOBALL 223325, OMICRON 75 SHEPHERD, CHARLIESSHIP and many more. So there is a lot of traffic up there but also even more up higher.(try increasing the altitude on your App) And there is one more of interest: IAMWHOIAMS CONVOY32 which is the convoy of Space Ships mistaken by some people as being Satellites. So investigating for some might yield more information of just what is out there. Someday all of the AEROSPACE-FIGHTERS and Space Ships mentioned may fly at Air Show's at some point. There is also BABYBATCH332529 AEROSTUNT TEAM DRONE PACK 51. And they are the performers of Drone Formations. They operate at 29 000 meters for their performance and are in some Formations Supersonic! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6uIRr4CWQY&t=162s

DISCOBALL can be observed at night, DISCOBALL is the Star that flashes white and red and is a SHEPHERD from Heaven that patrols around Saturn. Stars do not change colour, DISCOBALL uses lights in order to change colour and is 13 000 meters long and sits in LOW ORBIT. So some objects can be explained as I know a bit about them. All of the mentioned SpaceShips can be observed by using the NASA TABLET which is what they used to take pictures of OUMUAMUA in deep space outside the Solar System. The scan was from a COMBAT-CHASIS. That is also what they had to use to land a Satellite on a Comet which is Halley's Comet. No other civilization in the Universe has ever accomplished that in this History.

Charl, the Mriya loss was awful. I'm not taking away from the human cost, but aircraft are innocent things as well .....that doesn't sound right , hope you know what I mean.

On the subject of the MRIYA/AN-225 .... and I don't mean to cause your thread to diverge Marty :)

My HJG colleague and management/admin partner (Peter LIDDELL) saw, and photographed it, at Toronto a couple of years ago ....

A bit about it .... the aircraft generally I mean ....

The first AN-124 RUSLAN operated into AKL during 1989. It was chartered here by ROHLIG SHIPPING (although McKAY SHIPPING later protested they were responsible for the charter .... an argument I ended up witnessing first hand/becoming involved with later as "the meat in the sandwich") to deliver TELEVISION 3's mobile unit along with other supporting equipment. I was commissioned to record this event, for both ROHLIG, and AIAL, and was fortunate enough to be invited aboard the aircraft (by its Russian crew) for the afternoon .... and which was a great experience as I, these days, review my airside past :)

Most may not be aware, but, AIAL actually invited ANTONOV to bring the AN-225 MYRIA to AKL for the 1992 AIR EXPO. Needless to say they/ANTONOV were keen to do so also .... but .... insisted AIAL, or someone else, to sponsor the fuel bill for the aircraft to enable their doing so (Russia was "broke" by this time though and which coincided with dismemberment of the former USSR). Needless to say the sponsorship/charter could never be successfully negotiated .... and consequently it never happened .... otherwise some of us (of my aviation photography generation at least) would have seen the AN-225 MYRIA "here in NZ/at AKL".

If you watch this video it is a different aircraft from the one here on Earth. It has a very good FLY BY WIRE and turns very tight. Although the fake news talks of a War it looks fake all of it. So this aircraft is on another Planet and has a better Control System than the AN225s that are on Earth. You'll notice other differences compared to the one on Earth. The place where this was filmed is called "THE JOCKS PLAYGROUND." Someday soon the AN225's on Earth will have the same FBW as the one in this video. There is more to the story about PLANET THE JOCKS PLAYGROUND, it is a Planet where some of the most spectacular Air Show's that have ever been videoed. Some Easter Eggs include A-10C variants that are not yet flown on Earth and many other aircraft types that have features that are considered futuristic such as in Terminator Salvation.(the robot Spaceships are in fact real but the altitude of the scene was filmed at 18 000 feet for Safety) So real aircraft were used for Movies many of them are shot at PLANET THE JOCKS PLAYGROUND. There is other things that are unusual and that is because it features future versions of aircraft and aircraft from other HISTORIES AND HISTORY BRANCHES. If you are a weapons buff you may notice futuristic weapons on some TV Shows and Movies that are not available here on Earth. PLANET THE JOCKS PLAYGROUND is one place where that type of weapon is available. You'll all be seeing more videos I am sure of PLANET THE JOCKS PLAYGROUND on the Internet and maybe later people will have the opportunity to go there.
