Why do I do this to myself ... Another MSFS 1st look, another taildragger in VR. Yesterday it was the Boeing PT-17 Stearman which has a 7 cylinder 220 hp engine and cruises at 85 mph, this time it was the Milviz FG-1D Corsair which has an 18 cylinder 2250 hp engine (46 litres of it ...) and falls out of the sky at 85 mph.

Took off from NZWP Whenuapai, found some nasty black clouds at around 4000' (yay for live weather) so made a low pass over Waiheke Island - arrived over Kennedy Point - then a lower pass past the city and what would be Westhaven if I had scenery, and an even lower pass over the water under the harbour bridge.

Circling "approach" over the area north of Westgate - stall warning ? what stall warning ? power pylon ? what power pylon ? oh, *that* stall warning ? - followed by 4 landings back at NZWP. I managed not to groundloop or stand it on its nose, and the sim never told me I'd crashed, so I'm going to call that successful. And an absolute blast.
