First Jet Plane For Australia

First Jet Plane For Australia

Postby Aharon » Sun Nov 08, 2020 5:32 am

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

What is the first airline jet plane for any Australia based airline in history of Australia, please? For example, the first airline jet plane for any Finland based airline in history of Finland is Caravelle for Finnair and the first long haul or wide body jet plane for any Norway based airline in history of Norway is Trans Polar 707.

So wondering what is first airline jet plane for any Australia based airline, please?

Regards,

Aharon

Qantas 707-138 in 1959 I would think. By the way a 707 isn’t a wide body aircraft

Yes you are correct but I said first long haul OR wide body plane meaning either long haul or wide body. BTW, the first wide body plane for Norway was 767 flown by Branthees (spelling)
