This from the Beeb. Looks like they finally got them to work. I hope ours do, although the Gummint doesn't seem to have organised a carrier for them.

Would be a bit difficult flying F-35As from a carrier if you are referring to the RAAF F-35s. The RAF/RN F-35s are F-35Bs. The STOVL model
