Postby Splitpin » Thu Sep 17, 2020 4:27 pm

Woooof ..its me ...the Pin. So... you thought you could lock me away did ya chaps .....well Im back..... so raise the flags, tell the Queen everythings ok , no, I'll tell her myself.
Alright then , break out your best booze and lets sit around and talk about ....me .

But seriously ...thanks very much to all the background workers who managed to get us back up and running ...Doug had a panicked email from me saying "I cant remember my password ...sniff ... and I want come home" and here I am ...cheers Big D (I still think you zapped me because I forgot your birthday :P )

It wasn't until I couldn't actually get near the site, that I realized what a large part of my life the forum is  ....I was at a loss , and I make no apology or excuse for that ....so thanks again to ALL those involved, who got us all back together.

I really hope we can keep this unit together ...a few forums/sites have gone since NZFF started. Anyway team ...see you in the soup, bring your own spoons ....now, wheres Charl ..i feel like Chivas Regal :D

Right here... and a glass of good Merlot to hand.
I must say, the forum hasn't jumped about like this in years!
And very good to see the renewed interest in NZ Flight simming again.

When I left Scotland in 1968, all Chivas Regal was exported, and only someone who knew someone who knew a man could get any locally. My Dad knew someone....so on my first visit back, for Christmas 1980, I made a point of buying some Chivas in the Mascot duty-free. Dad was very appreciative, but he took me down to Tesco's supermarket, and showed me the same Chivas , VAT included, for a price quite a lot less than I had paid in Sydney.
No more "duty-free" for me, after that.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Nothing like a new sim and a global random email to kick things back into life!
