Yes, certainly some conniptions in the forums this morning, I actually didn't get around to finding out that Todd Muller had resigned until morning tea time:)
I'm not yet able to make a decision on whether to pre-order/which version, as I haven't even earned enough this month to cover the premium version. I will run out of money before the new sim comes out, so it might be irrelevant anyway...
Just a few thoughts on the different versions...

Standard NZ$109.90
Deluxe NZ$149.90
Premium Deluxe NZ$189.90

The one NZ custom airport (NZQN) is included in the standard version, so this may be a good choice for locals. I guess it is a matter of deciding whether a few more default aircraft (and airports) are worth the extra. The only thing of interest for me in the premium version is the SR22, as I often fly the Carenado version. But for those who want high quality payware aircraft, the standard version may be all you need, as you may not get any benefit from more default aircraft. I'm pretty sure I'd be happy to explore the default aircraft for the first year or two. Look out for me and my Robin in multiplayer:)

Wonder if there is anyway I can change my order as there some aircraft in other versions which I’m
interested in but then again who knows what they are like? Maybe I can buy them individually later?

Worth mentioning that the standard version is also available as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC, which gives access to a number of PC games via monthly subscription.

Standard NZ$109.90 plus GST = $126.38
Deluxe NZ$149.90 plus GST = $172.38
Premium Deluxe NZ$189.90 plus GST = $218.38
(Microsoft don't include GST in their listed prices in the NZ Store, but I assume they do add it, and should really be required to show inclusive prices.)

Well my problem is solved anyway. My video card was at the low end of the requirements and would no doubt struggle at the detailed airports, but since no boxed discs will be supplied except to Europe and I no longer buy online after being hacked, there is no need to upgrade. This has saved me $!

Jeff -- sounds like you could benefit from a Paypal account, so that you are not dealing directly with online stores. You can use Paypal for Microsoft store purchases.
I think that everyone should at least try MFS if you are concerned about your system's performance, and the cheapest way is to buy the first month of Xbox Game Pass for PC, for NZ$1.

It may have been my PC hacked and Paypal would still be a security issue in that case. I did eventually receive a full refund but because it happened in November it screwed up my Christmas and that is not going to happen again. Msoft may introduce a Demo version and if so I will try that, but I will only buy the full version in a shop as I did with FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004 and FSX.

Check your mainboard - perhaps it has onboard graphics and is allocating 8GB to the onboard 'card' -- this used to be a thing! Some boards you could disable and get the memory back, some not. If you know your mainboard make / model someone here could no doubt look it up for you.

Ouch. I was hoping that you'd be close enough so that someone can suggest an easy upgrade, but that ain't really the case. Maybe a long-term aim?

Jeff , the motherboard is an "Orchid -S" with some Radeon onboard graphics ....would be great to be able redirect that "unavailable" ram and maybe speed things up a bit ... I live in hope.

@Rob .....told ya mate , I dont know how I get to run what I do

Hmm, not sure that is quite enough to go on.
A brief search and one of first hits turned up this, but mentions no onboard graphics, so if this is the board, then that possibility is off the table :(

Check out this review of MSFS2020. The guy lives in New Zealand and is showcasing Auckland NZAA in the video.
https://youtu.be/wz-I_9v-PMc

I'm not too happy with how NZAA is represented. Of all the airports I would think should get attention is NZAA. I have to say it doesn't look that good to me. However, the video doesn't really do justice to it.
