Back Country NZ Pack 2 released

Postby chopper_nut » Thu Jun 13, 2019 7:46 pm

Just uploaded to X-Plane.org is the next installment of my NZ scenery. Back Country NZ Pack 2 covers the township of Haast and the area SW. To my knowledge it is the first modelling of the township of Haast in any sim but who knows.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

That does look stunning. I might have to ask your advice on a couple of things about X-plane scenery.

In addition, I have updated the first pack to bring it in line with the just released Haast scenery. Simply updates the roads and adds in some bodies of water along with some other small changes.

Nick, you are a man of many talents
Some really interesting geology over there... Mosquito hill, that you portray so well is fascinating .... evidently a little piece of rock, too hard for the advancing glaciers of that time to crush.
So they moved either side of it, pushing billions of tons of moraine into the Tasman ... retreated, and there you have Mosquito hill.
That part of south Westland is just magic , Haast in particular. Not many places in NZ are special (really special) but that area is ....its magic.

Cheers Marty but I'm afraid that I can't take credit for the geology, only the coverage. The mesh and textures mostly are part of the base NZ package, I've just tarted them up by adding the vegetation and everything else on the ground.

Hi Lawrie, good to see you back.
I do remember your scenery all those years ago but I thought that it was just the airport... I did think of you though...
