Hi Arron
You can download this nzmo_nzmc_nzci_nzmf.zip from here https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.ph ... d=69077007
If that doesn't bring it up do a search for nzmo_nzmc_nzci_nzmf.zip
Or if you want to check out more of Mikes scenery do a search for Michael Allen-Andrews in https://www.flightsim.com

Cheers
Doug

Shalom anyone who is expert in those particular freeware sceneries,

I had successfully installed the three airport sceneries from the download file called nzmo_nzmc_nzci_nzmf.zip and added those to add on scenery list of FSX Deluxe with SP1 and SP2 that has VLC libraries but NO fancy or photoreal ground texture stuff.

The NZMC scenery has few buildings and few cars there but NO passenger apron, no gates, and no taxiways to runway. Am I missing something please and what can I do to fix that, please

I have feeling that those three airport sceneries require use of ORBX New Zealand base package but I hope I am wrong and I do not need Orbx stuff.

If those sceneries including NZMC require use of Orbx base package, then is there any other TERRIFIC freeware NZMC Mount Cook airport, please for use of FSX Deluxe with SP1 and SP2? Payware NZMC is okay if the price is reasonable and not expensive.

Thank you for any assistance any of you might provided.

Regards,

Aharon

I think that Mike's NZMC was just the terminal, plus some of the scenery objects from his payware airports, HamiltonX and TaupoX. So if you had these, you'd see more detail, but it is just airport objects, no photoscenery or custom airport facilities.
There's not a lot of choice for NZMC in FSX, if you don't use Orbx NZSI. (I don't know what Orbx NZMC looks like, but I don't think there's any custom stuff there, just a normal 'Orbx default', which is still a lot better than nothing.)
I was working on NZMC for the Godzone Subscription, and this was also meant to be included in the new Southern Lakes scenery, but this was put on hold when I started NZCH. Now I'm not sure what will happen with this, I am waiting to see what Orbx does with TrueEarth NZ. If they get onto this within by next year I don't think I'll be doing any more photoscenery, but there are still plenty of airports to do.
I suspect that FSX users won't see much in the way of new releases for NZ. Most people use and Orbx NZ base, and even then that is not heavily supported by developers. I can see the day when any NZ development is strictly for the 64 bit simulators, a lot of developers have already given up on FSX, and more will follow. Flightbeam's NZWN is Prepar3d only, I understand. For me, I'm still wanting to continue with FSX development, but the test will be NZCH -- if there's not much interest, then it isn't worth putting in the time.

ToProb,

That is correct!!! I have those buildings plus cars and trucks in Mike's freeware NZMC scenery but what I am trying to say is that what is missing from that NZMC scenery is passenger apron or gate apron or plane parking spot whatever you call plus the taxiway between the plane parking spot and runway is missing from that scenery. Look at this real world photo below showing ground parking spot for planes and one taxiway which I do not have in my scenery. It is just grass between the terminal and runway. What can I do to fix this please unless you tell me that the taxiway and plane parking ground will appear only if I use Orbx NZ? Which struck me strange is why do I have vehicle roads and vehicle parking lots in my NZMC exactly same as seen on that photo BUT no no taxiway leading to runway and no n ground apron for planes to park. Very strange

That is shame considering the fact that Mount Cook area gets 300,000 tourists every summer.

I checked Orbx and they do not have separate scenery for NZMC.

Actually I do not need photoscenery and I am very happy to see more FSX airports!! HA ha ha ha Especially your NZNS Nelson is pure fun to use!!

That is shame!!!!

I am NOT giving up FSX until I see all freeware add on planes such as all CalClassics, HJG, POSKY, Project Airbus, Vistaliners, SGA, Dreamwings, TDS, Skyspirit, KBT, Jahn, Shurpe, JetCity, TinMouse, and any freeware add on plane software company along with tons of amazing liveries are compatible with P3Dv4.4. I am not switching to P3Dv4.4 until I see Lockheed using 747, 737, and A320 as default planes meaning I can alias their panels to those freeware add on planes.

For me it is FSX but...................... I am afraid I might have to switch to P3D v4.4 due to three reasons: people say it has better sky graphics, the night lights of cities are amazing, and too many scenery software companies are stopping production and support of FSX sceneries. But that will NOT happen until I see my certain conditions as described above met by Lockheed.

Looking at Mike's readme, this was only ever intended to be a terminal upgrade plus a few airport objects.
I've packaged up my NZMC ground polys, not sure if they will work with Mike's airport, but you can at least try.

http://windowlight.co.nz/files/NZMC_GPs.zip

Just extract this to Mike's scenery folder, so that the BGLs go in 'Scenery' and the textures go in 'Texture'

ToProb,

Thanks for kind link offering extra files to add taxiway and apron to NZMC but unfortunately that turned entire NZMC into grassland without runways but with terminals.

It is okay. I gave up on NZMC and I can focus on other exciting New Zealand airports including your two ones NZDN and NZNS plus your new one NZRO. As for NZMC, I can take off from runway in hope nobody would notice lack of terminals and taxiways in FSX default NZMC scenery. LOL

Thanks for all your kind help. Have a great week.

ToProb and anyone who wants to use NZMC for FSX,

When I said I gave up on NZMC, my mind and my guts still kept telling me not to give up because they kept reminding me that I was NOT born quitter.

So I kept rackling my brains and FINALLY figured out how to solve the MYSTERY of finding perfect scenery of NZMC for FSX use!!! NOW, my NZMC Mount Cook is WORKING with all taxiways and airport ground aprons!!! I got a complete awesome freeware NZMC scenery completed with all buildings and terminal although without cars or buses but that is great price to pay for giving up cars and buses!

How did I do that?

The problem is that I made mistake picking NZMC scenery along with other sceneries in nzmo_nzmc_nzci_nzmf.zip because THEY ARE FOR ONLY ONLY USE OF ORBX base packages meaning they will NOT work without ORBX.

So look at those two sceneries below The top scenery in red font is ONLY ONLY for Orbx users. The bottom second scenery in green font WILL WORK for FSX!!!!!

FSX Scenery--NZMO NZMC NZCI NZMF New Zealand. This is a basic upgrade to default NZMO Te Anau Airport-Manapouri, NZMC Mount Cook Airport, NZMF Milford Sound, NZCI Chatham Island Airport from FS-Creations.org which is designed to merge objects with FTX Orbx NZSI objects and airport scenery add-ons; also extra objects from payware scenery HamiltonX and TaupoX have been added to enhance the airport if you have these. Version only compatible with FTX Orbx NZSI landclass, these areas are also available for VLC landclass via FS-Creations web site. By Michael Allen-Andrews.

FSX Scenery--Mount Cook Airport, New Zealand. This is a basic 3D terminal upgrade to default NZMC Mountcook Airport from fs-creations.org which sits best on the VLC 20 meter mesh add-on by www.vectorlandclass.co.nz. Also extra objects from payware scenery HamiltonX and TaupoX have been added to enhance the airport if you have these two add-ons the objects will show up automatically in the scenery if you have them both active in scenery manager library. By Michael Allen-Andrews.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!

Now my next problem is how to land and take off using NZMC Mount Cook airport without crashing into mountains!! Anybody got tips or charts or ideas??????
