05R Runway removal at Auckland Intl with FS9

Postby deecee3 » Wed Apr 26, 2017 7:12 pm

I have payware Auckland City & freeware Akl Airports installed [not Akl 2005] & i am looking for an easy way to remove the right hand runway "05R". Years ago i was able to do this but i've lost track of the procedure to do this. Please advise what files are required together with the process. I have been using FS9 for many years & am loathe to change!

Frankly DC3 AFX is the only program I recall for FS9 ..first program I used was by Derek Leung's FS Airport Design.

why do you want to remove 05R?

05R and 23L are the standard runways at Auckland, taxiway Bravo runs directly adjacent to the domestic apron then taxiway Alpha is south of that and then 23L/05R.

cheers

My thanks to everyone who responded. I found i needed to uninstall akl airports & replace it with akl 2005 followed by akl2005-2006_update v1.1 which removes 05R runway. Not sure if this is correct but someone out there will speak up!

you need to remove 05LEFT or it's just not Auckland

The ONLY current runway at NZAA Auckland International is 05 RIGHT/23LEFT.

If this is not the case then I've been putting tin on and off the wrong concrete for the last 30yrs :o
