My AutogenConfigurationManager.log looks like this...
11:27:02 a.m. | AutogenConfigurationMerger 1.0.0.38791
11:27:02 a.m. | FSPath: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\VLC_Libraries\Tools
11:27:02 a.m. | Scenery.cfg not found
Is the Scenery.cfg not found entry normal?
That's interesting that the same thing is going on with FSX, Murray. I've posted a report with SceenryDesign.org, and we'll figure a solution.
If this happened during the installation, then you could try installing it yourself. You would need to do this via the 'run' box (Start | type 'run')
As Nick suggested, there's a single .exe which does the merge work plus the install. When it installs, it copies itself to a place where it is unlikely to be messed with -- %ProgramFiles(x86)% or for 32 bit, %ProgramFiles%.
So you can try a manual install, using a command line in the run box. The format of the command line is:
"Full path to autogencongurationmerger\AutogenConfigurationMerger.exe" install simtype
Where the simtype will be one of these:
fsx
fsxse
p3dv2
p3dv3
And the full path is the drive/path of one of the supplied AutogenConfigurationMerger.exe's, which are installed with Real NZ Dunedin. One is in the Godzone\OtherInstallers folder, and the other is in VLC_Libraries\Tools. Either would work, they are identical.
So, for me I'd use:
"I:\Godzone\OtherInstallers\AutogenConfigurationMerger.exe" install p3dv3
Note the quotes, and where they end!
