Its a very capable machine and would do well in this country. Why it is not here I have no clue.Perhaps someone else will enlighten me
Will post some more pics tomorrow :batman:

The wings are well, Bat like

The cockpit has a dark looking panel but overall looks very detailed.

Flying round the slopes of Whakapapa no one missing in action here.

Cool machines, love the weathered detailing. Never seen on in the flesh, only on YouTube vids etc.

What's the verdict so far Dinga?

So far I am loving it. I have a long way to go ,not even started her up by the book yet. Just want to take my time rather than fly it for a week and forget it ,which I will admit has happened in the past. One thing I did get hacked off is installing it into steam version of fsx.All the liveries are gone and you are just left with the factory white. Now that is something to be wary of folks. Fortunately P3D has no such gimmicks.

That looks quite a tidy cockpit , I like it when they put a little effort to scuff it up a bit. B-)

Back in my GA instructing days at Ardmore a Dornier 228 toured the country on demo flights. Our organisation's sales division operated a number of demo flights and I was lucky enough to go for a ride in it.
It is quite a capable machine and I was most impressed with the demo of an asymmetric stall. I can't recall but perhaps VMCA is below stall speed.
I believe the fact that it is unpressurised and expensive that made it not so attractive.

Wow you must be one of the lucky few Cowpatz
Oh yeah she pricey, 8 million euros according to Wikipedia.

I did the next best thing today.
Just took off from 03 at Whenuapie and after a quick circuit did a bit of inspection work under the Greenhithe Bridge.Pulled up stalled ,just managed to recover. Not deterred by the fright I carried on back to the field for a wings and wheels display
After a slow roll and then a loop at the end of it, tried to land, cocked it up and overshot, so made it look like a handling display  Landed on 21 reverse the props and the crowd, if there was one would be on there feet ,running for the exits :o I tipped her on to the port wing trying to exit to early  This felt like I was really there thanks to the wonders of virtual headsets. I bought my Occulus rift about a month ago and really having fun with it.The cockpit just comes to life.Totally blows a flat panel screen away.If you guys have not tried this yet, I say go for it, you will not regret it.
