This is seriously amazing footage, 'JUST SHARE LUCKY' Ok I can measure for ya .. the water it draws and the drop from the flight deck ... love to hear the "Truk me " plane like this dose not have ejection seats ... course the four guys in the back would have said TRUK ! .. amazing recovery !

Remember that movie about the Doolittle Raid, where the guy didn't use enuff flap on t/off ? Very similar effect :o

Very amazing footage of that here and photo ... also depends weather the bow was heading up to near sling shot it to the air.

Well, if the wing can't fly, you fall 32 feet in the first second, which boosts the airspeed a bit :wacko:

Simply they had the weather to really help out ... would have been amazing they had that extra range , looking at the footage here tho lightly loaded E-2 with those wings and the power ... yeah pilot skills to boot B-)
