Postby Ian Warren » Sun Jun 05, 2016 12:32 pm

The amount off time I lost due it automatically decided it was or I was to change ... No wonder they were giving the bloody OS away ! .... I want to return to WIN 7 because the cost in time and even navigating ... WHOTHEHELLWANTS little gay boy play games .. is there a way to shut that down .. you use a computer as a TOOL not as a TOY .. well to some.

Now is there any easy way to dump - trash - tipout and return to were I was two day back , this morning took me 2 hours to fuch around simply to my next work which was already in the editing stage ...... to many Kiddies in the mix trying to make them look smart with a new OS

I'll do that Doug ... Thing is, that really pissed me off , I could not understand why/when the PC was in shut down 3 so days back .. I had a rush project and was work ... typical Win update ... but no had stick this gayboy crap .. really is only for the kiddies and the brain dead , ...

I could not figure what the hell was going on with a rush job 30 hours back, a paying job , and good money , suddenly things were not working , I had saved primary files on this XP machine so to get stuff completed and printed with a good result .....

BUT the thing is this them - PUSHING Win10 ... I lasted this long .. I don't recall pressing accept , next thing it went GAYBOY on ya ! ... course all fickle apps and shi.t I don't need .. ... Time Wasting !

You might use your PC as a tool, but 90% of the market uses it for entertainment, so yeah, Win 10 is biased that way. Took me 5 minutes to get rid of the extras -- Minecraft etc -- but I guess it helped me going from Windows 8 to 10, as I was already used to the Start menu.

I'm not 100% in love with Windows 10, but in the end I decided to stick with it, simply because the internet is changing all the time, and if I want to keep using it, I need to have an OS which can keep up.

My flatmate got sick of the 'upgrade to 10' button popping up all the time, she asked me to do the upgrade a week ago, so I did -- she hasn't had a single complaint about it since, except for a couple of notifications about obsolete applications, which I've sorted. I was sure she'd hate it, but I appear to have been worried about nothing...

Sounds like you might need to do a bit of a tidy-up to get it how you want, but I suspect that goes for any new OS.

I think that is were the PC decided it was going to take over ......

We as end users should not have to put up with this .... Specific to the what your using the PC for ....

Obviously gave up ! and pretended the problem went away .. BUT when it comes down to a required finish line .. !!! ? that was what I needed .

But to get this on your doorstep ... strange things .. I was up 3.00/4.00 AM in the mornings no problem , hook into drawing / scan then to the printer s then back again ...

This is what I do and an automatic OS change in the night .. SIMPLY DON'T have time to play little games cleaning a GAYBOY OS just to get back to work .... how many brain dead people are there out there .. WHOOP! .. little telephones .. TRUCK !

Didn't it warn you every day for the last year that you needed to do something?

EDIT: By the way, you should be able to roll-back to win7 within 31 days. See here for details.

YIP year plus .. I was very happy with everything working smoothly .... after the warning being deleted for so long and putting in NO request for them .. do you think they would stop ... NEGATORY ... Worst than a Mormon or a Jehovah witness knocking at the door .. I scared them away double quick time , here got shot in the foot ..

Currently require the PC for work ... still need to look into that ... FACT IS .. I was caught out in a time required project ... DORKS .... what the old saying it is "If it is not Broken Go with it " - ...... If I required the services of a img src=http://nzff.org/images/smilies/censored2.gif OS I would look into it ...... Not pushed in ya face like a "Door to Door Vacuum Sales Man Dufus"

Its probably a bit late now but I used this tool to stop Microsoft from updating my PC to Win 10
http://blog.ultimateoutsider.com/2015/0 ... emove.html

Although I did upgrade clone a HDD with Win 7 and upgraded it to Win 10 I also kept my original Win 7 HDD and now I have both OS
I just unplug the Win 10 HDD and use the Win 7 but if I want to use the Win 10 I plug it in and unplug the Win 7

That's why you need this, if it's not too late.

Resistance...is...futile.
By now the entire planet has been taken over by WIN10.
My XPSP3 flightsim box running FS2004 with no interwebby thing is the Last Outpost of the Empire.
It is soo warm and fuzzy in here...

Glad you've got this sorted. Now that that's out of the way, I just have one question.

I started off with Commodore Basic, on my Vic20, and then learnt 6502 assembly to speed up programs. My first PC came with DOS, although concurrently I was learning at the polytech with Windows 3.1. My first Windows PC came with Windows 95, and then I bought a PC with Windows ME, which wasn't great... I've since used Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, upgrading to 8.1, and finally Windows 10.

My question is: in all that time I've never come across any reference to 'geeboy' in relation to operating systems. What does this mean in relation to Windows 10?

Ah, I understand, this was basically just your way of being as offensive as you could, for no real reason but for its own sake. Maybe you could tidy up this thread a bit, for longevity's sake.

I agree

Very disappointed that I got sucked in and upgraded (or should that be downgraded)

Does anyone else have the problem that FSX won't run properly in full screen mode?

To esc out or get access to the toolbar I now have to go back to windowed mode first??????? @@$#€&%!!!!

Then I had a problem that FSX wouldn't close untill about 15 minutes had elapsed. Not great for doing repaints etc when you are closing and rebooting often

Now there is a recurring message saying some memory or file couldn't be saved because some file doesn't exist anymore, but at least it now closes straight away

Now the really scary thought.........

Imagine a car which has been programmed by one of these boffins driving itself down the motorway towards you

YEAH RIGHT

Yes a small mercy that Microsoft is not looking at making driverless or "autopiloted" cars.
