NZScenery Autogen **UPDATE 2**

Postby Kelvinr » Sun Jun 26, 2016 1:18 pm

Hi All,

Ok I have moved my product to an online provider, such as the same one Ant Davison uses for convenience.

You can purchase NZ Scenery Autogen from here.

https://gum.co/VxQU

More info will be added to market the product.

Regards,

Kelvin

No worries, Ian.

At least this is a more reliable solution so should be available indefinitely.

Cheers,

Sorry, I haven't been tracking this one. I currently run P3Dv3.2 and ORBZ NZ and Robin's subscription stuff (when I get around to re-installing it). Also TaupoX / HamiltonX and a few other airports from various places.
What is this?
What does it give me?
Does it conflict or add to anything I already have?

I did follow the link, but didn't see "what", only "how much"... of course, I could be blind ...
This has probably been answered before, maybe in these very forums (which I'm afraid I haven't been following much recently having been RL flying and RC model flying of late, more than simming). In which case, point me to the right links.

Cheers

Gidday,

I'm in the process of getting additional info available. I had assumed a lot of people already know about this from my former website.

Will post more info soon.

Autogen density is really the main factor.

There's alot more data used than what other products have, there is a combined use of multiple data sets.

This, and the fact that the way the autogen was processed causes a larger file size due to many more trees per cell than default. However, the autogen slider can reduce this as you would know.

WELL HERE IS THE WEIRD ONE ! ... On installing the FSX-P3D Autogen, I created a file folder "NZ_2016_PaywareAGN" , all fine, file extracted , tho it is a messy installer .. FSX totally took off , there is nothing on the FS-PC except the Addon scenery folder were I created this file folder.

Yip I checked properties , and it clean my Microsoft FXS(G)HD of the install, never seen this before, there are files and were I saved the "NZ_2016_PaywareAGN" in primary FSX Addon Scenery most everything is there including this AGN update, as I said it had a messy installer and no real direction , So I question maybe a conflict between FSX and P3D ?

This dose not affect me in anyway way, I'm here most all the time SO good opportunity to reload my FSX .... really should be done every once in a while, It was just simply strange how it deleted the entire package ..

I think the installer needs to be looked at , I've only changed to this 'DORKY' Win10 and not to my choice either and since then had various issues , this is in all my years the WEIRDEST !

I wonder if the installer was only searching for P3D ?

Hi Ian,

What's the problem exactly? Could you elaborate further as I can't quite get the point of the problem.

Hi Ya Kelvin,
If you do enough AGN, you will notice a change in the tree size and scale, this is due to the resolution of the photo and the photo file size and when it is placed, for example if I took a sample from the old low res Dunedin photo-real and may put it the same tree texture into Motueka the tree one bush would expand to suit that specific tile and format size thus the tree is now four or six times the size.

Now covering the entire country as you have done with a low Res photo, fine but when placed on a Hi-Res photo .. every AGN becomes sky scraper size.

As mentioned the autogen is designed for Ant Davisons photoreal. However, I have gone to some lengths to test with other photoreal scenery.

In saying this I did use a custom size for the autogen, perhaps you can send me a sample of the scenery you are referring to and I'll take a look at it for a future revision.

I would suit Ants photo perfect I guess, I look at this way as an experiment , following what was said the incoming photo material and other files.
