Windows 10 compatibility with FSX

Please has anyone installed FSX or FSX Steam into a Windows 10 operating system and if so have you had any performance issues?
I am hesitant to convert to Windows 10 from my current Windows 7 from which I have an excellent performance with FSX installed on a SSD (Solid State Drive)

I've installed FSX, FSX-SE and P3Dv3 in windows 10 with no problems. At the moment I have only FSX and P3D installed and they are both on a SSD, in separate partitions, and running very well. You shouldn't have any problems unless you have some unusual or very old hardware which isn't supported.

The only difference I have made is to install both programs in the root directory rather than under programs but that is my personal preference, I've done that from my very first install on FS2009. There are some people saying it makes it better to do that and about an equal number saying it makes it worse. Can't say I've seen any problems or improvements compared with my friends who have installed in the traditional suggested location.

Good luck

Thank you Scaber. This gives me the confidence to switch to Windows 10. my FSX is also installed in the root directory.
