ORBX NI Strips to Explore

Finally got myself a copy of the Orbx NI and very much enjoying exploring the scenery.

In the manual it mentions a large number of strips and private fields have been modeled as well as the main and regional airports. But, I have no idea how to find them! Can anyone recommend some interesting ones to visit? Or is there a list of them online maybe?

Do they show up on the map? You could create a flightplan joining up a few local airfields.
(Not sure about Orbx, but VLC airfields work that way.)

Arr me Shamrock .. I found many fields pretty bloody hard to find ... there are a few freeware scenery's up at Flightsim.com .. I'll dig up the others

There are a couple of files floating around that add all of the unlisted airfields to the GPS and the airport select menu. Brings the total up to about 800 or so although I think it may be based on old data as some of the strips no longer exist and there are some fairly prominent real life unlisted strips that don't show up. Still, a significant improvement! There are a couple of good forest strips near Tokoroa. There is a microlight strip near the Buried Village in the Rotorua Lakes which has a hangar and a static aircraft parked outside. Also Dog Island and Centre Island in Foveaux Strait both have strips.
