RealismShaderPack for Prepar3D 3.2

Postby toprob » Fri Apr 29, 2016 7:02 pm

This is well-worth a try (free!), it works as advertised, fixing a few issues with P3D's lighting, and adding some nice visual effects -- like the blue haze in the distance. This is the first P3D shader tweak I've ever tried, so I was a bit wary, but I'm happy to keep it.

Details on Avsim.

Yes just installed it myself but yet to really try it out.
Awesome that the developer made this freeware.

Rob are you running FTX trees HD?
Any issues with them? ie NZ tree styles or FPS hits?

Yes, I use FTX trees. This is the only Orbx scenery I use in Prepar3D, though, so I don't get the full benefit -- that is, I don't get to see their custom NZ trees which are included in the NZ region. (I think this is how it works -- there are custom trees added to FTX NZ, plus custom textures for default trees. You will only see the new trees if you use FTX NZ, but you will see the new textures on all existing autogen if you just use FTX Trees) However these 'default' trees with new textures are great for NZ, and make all the difference, I think.

Never been aware of any performance issues.
