You guys in Europe are blessed with very short geographic dispersal - seems EVERYBODY was there!

It was a special occasion, Charl. 100 years Swiss Air Force, 50 Years Patrouille Suisse and 25 Years PC-7 Team. That called for some show. The icing on the cake would have been the two Lancasters that were flying UK at the same time. I even suggested this to the organization of Air14, but I think the Lancasters were not certified to fly to Switzerland.

This year in October I will visit the famous Swiss "Fliegerschiessen". That is the annual training that takes place at the Axalp. It is open to the public. You have to climb the mountain Axalp, and this is what you get:

Hornets at eye level, eh?
You can bet they know all eyes are on them, and will put a little extra swagger into the manoeuvres.
Extra "g" too - the live fire box is quite tight (10km across?).
Go early, we'll be watching this space!
