Hmmm doesn't look too damaged on the bottom, ie some antenna still intact.

I wonder about not enough green lights?

Or maybe just nosegear retracted although doesn't really look like that either.

they used the antenna as ski's , actually be interesting to check what damage or get the true story looked intact'd to me?

Looks like the usual hysterical uninformed media response. :mad:
I would say the pilot, on lowering the gear, did not get a 'locked' indication (probably a dud bulb, or a faulty switch) and absolutely correctly declared an emergency, triggering various other standard procedures.
