Like to get this one just to add and go with my A2A B-17G , what many people don't realize it was B-17F built by Douglas that score the Bendix chin turret , may have a look at this later this afternoon.

yup your right there Ian, this looks good.
Also the chin turret was added to the B-17 by Douglas after the failed YB-40 concept.. The YB-40 was a B-17F with the Chin Turret, an extra top turret, the single waist guns swapped for a hydraulically boosted twin 50cal set up, the bomb bay used for ammo storage, with the idea that they would be placed in the formations of B-17s to provide extra protection to the bomber streams. The Idea was good, but the weight of the extra turret & all the ammo feeds and crew members, meant on the same power as the standard 17, the YB-40 stuggled to keep up with the standard 17s and even more so when the bomber streams had dropped their bombs and were returning to england. After field testing several of the YBs the program was scrapped, though the Chin turret was added to the standard 17, creating the G model

Don't Just like that when that happens ... Be simply an ideal complement to the A2A and really there are So so many super famous paints for the aircraft .
