Thanks Andrew, that is impressive reading , the limitations only so small but enough reduce operating costs, I personal say there would be little or no difference with the handling between the 100-300 to the 500 , only difference was the extended plug , course some NAC/ANZ aircraft were considered as the 600 series after maintenance modifications, the designed built 600 and others were 100-300 series hulls .

That higher flap speed would make a big difference. When slowing up it seemed to take an eternity to slow up to 144 kts. I don't know what happened to 11.5 flap setting or what the speed is for that.
If you ever get the chance to take a look inside the rear fuselage it will make you have a new found appreciation of airframe stress loading.

It wouldn't have made any difference as you know Ian, Barry said "It wasn't high end simulation and lockout was not simulated" Along with other engine parameters.

The lockouts would not need to be simulated it was more the operating procedure. As SA227 has pointed out things have changed since I flew them with the revised STC issued in 1992 dispensing with the need to move the HPCs to OPEN.

I think 'end off the day' really hate that saying - least we have a Great Fokker , Still a few things are getting fixed , .... It was a case off , " Dammed if you do and Dammed if you don't " ... I look at it this way, ... we can't drive a 'Spitfire' but YES .. A2A .. or some of us  don't get a chance to drive a 747 :D , ... OH BUGGER ! they are gone as well ! ... OH Well ... :(

I think with a solid commitment from the developer to address some of the issues we will end up with a great and much needed F27.

I think its a battle between the developer and the publisher, good thing is , 'now have something to work on' , not so strange how many beta testers and real McCoy pilots .... then the public release look at the type and complain, first way to look at it is a "much needed F27" :)

The more "fruity" orange on the NAC livery is perfect.
Re the Air NZ interim livery, the Air New Zealand lettering on the fuselage, and the rego on the tail-fillet
Should be in dark blue, not black as is shown in your screenshot.

It's maybe the screen on the monitor , rego has been a deep naval blue, I was waiting for the release to study that, peoples PC's show a different colour's , I'm sure we can we can put a bag of "fruities" as we study the paint

Thanks for this comment, Lawrie!
I've already found out this one, as I stumbled across ZK-BXF in its NAC/ANZ transition livery (note the tractor now also bearing ANZ lettering!):

Found here: https://de.flightaware.com/photos/view/ ... ate/page/1

The ANZ letters appeared a dark blue to me, presuming to be the same shade as the dark blue cheatline from the usual blue/turquoise ANZ livery of this era.
The pic above also shows the white overpainted lettering area, this of course should be represented too:

Couldn't work with the alpha channel here to get some more gloss on this particular fresh painted white area, since increased alpha leads to transparency on this model.
I just love those transitional oddballs...

The release of my repaints is set to hold by now, as Bazzar announced a service pack on SOH (to get rid of some of the glitches mentioned).
The SP as I understand will also include some changes to the texture mapping, so rolling out these paints right now doesn't seem too sensible to me...

Cheers,
Markus.

Wilgram :D See .... I'm teaching the world to speak Ianglish :P

"The good old days of prop jets at Auckland this one still in the old NAC NZ decals but with the new paint scheme from the merger to Air New Zealand. Now this prop plane sits at Wilgram airport retired from such a long life of service. It still has the strength in it to continue"

It's a Great photo , this would have to be Hokitika , that tractor would be off real historical interest , they were all over the place on airports around New Zealand

The FIRST NAC livery the F27-100s wore in New Zealand. Aircraft is ZK-BXD named "Korere" (Grey Warbler).

The SECOND NAC livery the F27-100s wore in New Zealand. Aircraft is ZK-BXA named "Kuaka" (Godwit). ZK-BXA was the first F27 in NZ.

Great seeing a photo like that .. the 'Friendship' stenciled on the nose again , funny what you remember , the other part is the study of the metal texture on the real end off the nacelle B-)

I must put a correction to that as i also thought the same but..... ZK-RTA was in fact a 600, and the 600 is just a 300 with more powerful engines hence the repaint of it, if it was a 500 i would never have done it

Refrence
