diddle dee doo why have 2 engines when one will do.

Private flying is one thing but I really think the traveling public deserve better than this...especially on that sector.

I don't know about that.... two engines, twice as many things to break. If the machine's reliable, comfortable and economic, why not use a single?

I think the best example is the Triple 7 - 300 floating around the pacific on one engine ... don't have the details or stats , but thinking about it, it did have that spear engine and all the fuel .

Ole days we all know the famed piston treats across the Tasman , today 737 and ARBUSTED do it regular .

Exactly. Certainly in helicopters, twin is not always better....
