Ex RNZAF CT4's have been registered?

Postby tomkilpatrick » Tue Apr 21, 2015 1:46 pm

I was having a look through the CAA Air Register, and I came across the "Pacific Aerospace CT/4E Airtrainer". Knowing that the Public Register doesn't show mil aircraft, I had a look and it's showing PTA, PTB, PTC, PTD, PTG, PTH, PTI, PTJ, PTK, PTL, PTM and PTV.

Having a look into the registration details, I can see that it was initially registered under ZK-PTA in July 1998, but it was deregistered a month later? Same with the others. Registration came back into effect in March this year.

So this means that our CT4/E fleet has been stripped of air force markings and what-not now? Any pictures?

I would say very likely still in their "bumble bee" colours and simply each aircraft has a civil registration plonked on them.

Have a look through the Hamilton Pictures thread on the photography page, I seem to recall there's some of them on there next to the Aeromotive hangar in HLZ.
