Installed this today, plus the update, from the links posted in the forum.
It looks great on approach and finals, but on the ground I seem to be seeing a clash with the VLC Airfields NZRU. The terrain has overgrown most of the runway.
I first disabled the NZRU_ALT bgl, to no effect, then I moved the NZRU and NZRU_CVX bgls (not NZRU Objects) into the 'inactive" folder in VLC Airfields\scenery. That just gave me another (default) runway about 100m to the S of the photoscenery one.
I only have VLC installed, no ORBX except the FTX AI. Any ideas, anyone?

Mike , could it get you you to do a close screen on the approach , the runway appears so offset .. maybe 8Deg's angle at least .

If I adjust the VLC ALT.bgl by exactly +1 ft, it looks like this. Of course you need Timmo or Rob to do that officially.

I purchased this Wilco Airbus 400M package for the pultry sum of Euro 8.15. a couple of weeks ago...Link FYI http://www.wilcopub.com/wilco-fleet-a400m-5427.html. I have heard that this aircraft might be considered as a RNZAF C130 replacement....you may have seen the Airbus advert in local papers recently....The A400M was designed according to the joint prerequisites from the seven countries participating in the project (Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom and Turkey)... to date 174 airframes have been sold.

This FS Model flys like a gem and I would recommend it to flight simmers....handles smoothly and feedback control in the three Axis is about as real as you could get.

A couple of points if you decide to purchase....very noticeable in my first flight that T/O acceleration was very slow and the climb was pathetic.....checked the weight and balance figure and discovered that the A/C was 15000 lbs overweight!!??....first time I can remember of an A/C default weight and balance being outside limits. Re cockpit view selection...you will need to select Cockpit View first and then reset to Virtual Cockpit to ensure full operation of the Virtual Cockpit.

And thanks are due to Doug and Ian and others for the creation of this superb FSX Waiouru photoreal overlay.

Cheers,

Hi Ian,

As far as I am aware I don't have Mike's Objects activated and assumed the objects were part of the ORBx NZRU package.

The VLC North Islands Airfield pack does include a basic Waiouru update (I think because the default flatten was huge and encroached on the small valley at the Nth end of the runway). So, as always check for conflicts between flattens etc
