wub.gif Thanks, I did take a few shots of this so I guess that increased the chance of something like this being captured by some significant amount.

Hey, coincidently got the same Singapore airlines 777 coming in on long finals, just starting to lower the undercarriage, when I was out in Kaiapoi yesterday. Great minds and all that eh Ian?

Which SIA flight is that?
Planefinder often shows me an SIA 777 barreling past enroute Changi - Auckland; the others are all on descent for YBBN/BNE, and report 8000' shortly after passing overhead. They line up the end silo with the big mango tree and the railway crossing, to track for the BNE VOR.
Just a bit puzzled as to how the crew of NZAA flight is able to identify these crucial landmarks from FL370.. winkyy.gif

Cheers, HW - looking at the tracks, and considering the current wind pattern, the NZCH flight wouldn't come over my place - but in winter there would be good reason to overfly Bris-bunn, rather than go southabout over Sydney.

With a friggen wicked yesterday course the invite to go by car out to the airport ... such a glorious day ... I love my NorthWesters smile.gif ... the people you meet and the invites i give for people to
see, thinking about that i must edit the 747 photo' s simply to show how the guy was flinging it around the airport perimeter.

OK OK will have to think about it maybe a prize for the pros and another one for the point and shoot guys but the big problem is that all our overseas members might have a job dashing over to NZ to take their shots sad.gif
