Almost a New Zealand AESL, brought the licence to produce in the early 1970s , we only had 13 Airtourers - T6/24 model in 1974, later replaced with the early airtrainer which the final variant is todays CT-4Es

Guess the claim to fame for New Zealand was Cliff Taits around the world flight 1969.

I think that link may have changed Ian.
I learnt to fly on these spade handled puppies. ZK-CMD (100HP on condition engine at the time and required full length at Ardmore as well as the curvature of the earth to get airborne), ZK-DDP (115 HP) and ZK-DLU (T3 130 HP)
A very nice looking model. A bit steep at A$40 though.

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

To be honest I'm a quite surprised with the washed out look of the textures... Knowing ORBX for their fantastic "baked" textures - this one seem to have lost contrast, depth and "liveliness"...

I guess we won't no till someone buys it , it is a very basic aircraft after all , more a GA plane now, So currently the $40 is saved for the incoming Aerosoft Tomcat package smile.gif

Yeah, those screenies are not flattering at all, when you consider the eye-candy others are peddling these days. I'll be passing until it's discounted next Black Friday smile.gif

I thought it was very strange it so long for a release, I sorta thought they may be looking at the Airtrainer and variant's as an extra addon option which would have been a superb option .. really the aircraft are boring to look at regard to the slab side fuse ... It simply has the Kiwi the NZ connection.

I think those textures may not be displaying too well due to the graphics sim settings and also trying to give that retro feel.
A nicely made model that's done well.

It's amazing how the price and the package size doesn't seem to be in relation with the complexity of an aircraft. The Airtourer is just one notch more complicated than a Cub - but it's a 700MB (!) download and $40...hmmm

BTW: AirdailyX has been testing it and the texture ARE quite pale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5AQxZbS1aA#t=635

Air Daily X have a live stream on the the Victa and Puerto Plata.
Prattles on a bit but the aircraft looks good. I wonder how many models there are because this one has a CSU so it must be a 150 HP model.
