Wanaka airshow for the Subscription

Postby toprob » Sat Nov 15, 2014 9:50 am

Here's the little file which turns the old Real NZ Wanaka Airshow Mission into a simple scenery placement file. Just extract this to Godzone\GodzoneNZWF\Scenery, and when you've finished with the airshow, just change the NZWN_Objects_airshow file extension from .bgl to .off

http://windowlight.co.nz/files/NZWF_Objects_airshow.zip

I've shifted a few things around to fit the new Subscription layout, but you might find that some AI taxi through things -- luckily there are plenty of ambulances around the place, just in case some folk get in the way.

I got quite hungry taxiing about, so I'm off to the Lyttelton Market for a bacon and egg buttie.

Dammit! - I just spent an hour finding another way laugh.gif
I have a bare-bones FSX on another machine, for those moments when you realise you just deleted half the default textures.
So I lashed out a whole AUD4.73 on the old Southern Lakes Adventure and installed it to FSX on MiniBeast. The airshow was in FSX\Missions\Just for Fun, so I copied it to FS10 on Superbeast,
and there ah wuz....

I have a photo somewhere, taken at Scone(Perth) Races in Scotland. It shows the horse ambulance, which is sponsored by the burger stand it is parked behind huh.gif

Yes, I do. I did notice that a few days ago, it is really just a sign of old age, and over-medicated brain.

Great stuff! Very pleased you've done this as a bgl now Rob as my old, creaking FSX install crashed the mission for some reason and FSX missions don't get on at all well with P3D.

P3D is now my primary platform and this works brilliantly on it. I've put a copy of the airport files and the bgl in its own scenery folder so the airshow can be switched on and off as required via the scenery library.

I spend eleven months of the year in the UK and one in NZ. I'm hoping to improve that... ;-)
