NZCH release version.

An area to discuss scenery addons for virtual NZ

Postby connor » Fri May 06, 2011 8:30 am

Hi Guys,

I have finally got my stop-gap NZCH release version ready for testing. All going well this is the version that I will release.

However, I do need testers again, to test it on different systems, I have two versions, one for people running Default traffic, and the other for those running WOAI and GNZLAP.

For those of you who run Ultimate traffic, My traffic, etc, I am aiming to release a version for those traffic programs. I really need the traffic codes though, so if you know the traffic codes, or how to access them, PLEASE PM ME!

This scenery does need a relatively fast computer to run it well, simply because it is full of Microsoft's scenery objects. So some testers with a grunty machine would be appreciated.
The scenery also requires Troy Chapman's NZCH V1.3.

Can the testers please PM me with their e-mail and I'll send the files as an attachment. smile.gif

As always I have posted some screenies;

Regards,
Connor

Hi Connor

Finally tested ChCh Airport.Using the WOAI GNZLAP version. Had no traffic for a few days. Had a FS9 AI boat in amongst my FSX AI.All good now though.
All tested OK for traffic coming and going. Had a couple of AirNZ 737s merge together holding short of runnway at the initial start up but settled down as usual.
Scenery looked good and FPS was fine. From the testing I have done all is good.
Cheers
Brad

Thanks brad!

Unfortunately the antarctic center is not modeled. I thought of doing it but I just don't have the time at the moment. smile.gif

I'm pretty good for testers at the moment, but I really need parking codes to make sure it will work with other traffic programs.

Please PM me with the Parking codes if you know how to find them!

Connor, check out the CAA pdf following for domestic (non ICAO) and international (ICAO) operators 3-letter codes...
http://www.caa.govt.nz/airlines/Call_Signs.pdf

Also, if you're looking for other international operators see the following page at the IATA site and click on a region in the wee map to see their ICAO codes...

The codes in the AI need to match with the AFCADs right and every AFCAD I've seen uses the ICAO 3-letter codes, and the AI guys like MyTraffic etc dont neccessarily spit out scenery, so I'd say... yes they probably do. Oh and no problem re the links Connor (oh wait, you didnt thank me anyway ... tongue.gif )

Care to give a file name, Ian? Nothing showing up that I can see.

Edit: Okay; found it at Avsim (not Flightsim.com).
