I'd never thought I'd say this but.....Apple Maps is your friend! They have a 3d model you can zoom around the airport. (you may already know this)

You can't read heights off it but it may help.

Oh.... can't wait, thanks for putting the time in!!! smile.gif

Yeah saw that apple maps have Auckland Airport in 3D and its in great detail. Unfortunately I'm a Windows and Android user so I don't have access to it and you can't view it online like google maps. So I can't use it ):

That's for sure, then the next step is you get some bits looking good enough for a screenshot from certain angles, then when you come to release the 'finished' product you realise that you didn't texture the back of the objects you built first for these screenshots....

That's about where I am with NZWN at the moment.

I did the same with some of the hangars in NZNP. I just have to remember to finish something before I start something else.
With your NZWN and my NZAA be good to have NZ major airports covered! thumbup1.gif

Well page 3 sums it up. Development takes time. I know this for a fact. I used to put together AI Packages for the now defunct Project AI (That was repaints and flightplans) and to model a full airport, let alone one the size of NZAA takes a damned long time. The updates on that page are the the latest so we will get word when we get word. It takes time...

Sorry about the late reply towerguy. Anything photo helps alot! And would be much appreciated thumbup1.gif Especially since I live overseas and I don't have easy access to NZAA itself.

This airports is a full highly detailed representation of NZAA so major progress doesn't happen quickly. And it will be payware because of the length of time it takes.

You've hit the nail on the head! Any major project take ages to make, especially in great detail. The ground polygons alone take a while, as I won't be using aerial photography overlay to represent the taxiways/aprons. I have to draw everything from scratch.
