Ive done it , and it works .
But i do wonder ..... if you produce a product (payware) and quote very specific operating specs , and it dosent work within that that range of specs , i think you have a problem. I think some of these developers should check out their beta testers a little closer.

This issue came up with the first release , common sense dictates you check that fault with the upgrade .... or is that just me?
To their credit , JF got it sorted quick .... but really it should have been sorted before the release.

I know there are always bugs , but when you post the specs ....it should work.

I do wonder sometimes about the credibility of beta testers ..... i would only qualify as a "looks good " tester .

Anyway , i can now see my DC-8 in its entirety , so this has become a non issue for me.

Thanks Ian , maybe it was just XP , but they should have checked, not a good look for such a high profile company.

I think it comes down very few use XP for FSX , I never thought off trying it out , another option I may have the advantage with.

Not aimed at you at all skinman ...... even if only 1 person on earth is still using XP ..... They said it would work in XP , and it didn't .
But it works now , so , as i said , not an issue ...... but XP users never forget dry.gif even though forgotten .

It is required , the 10-40 series installed... I'm sure the Just Flight team will re word the promotion.

Hey Ian. I checked with JF via their forums and turns out it is NOT required. You can buy just the 50-70 on its own. I'm buying !! smile.gif
Here's what they had to say...

The 50-70 does not require the 10-40 pack. If it needed the 10-40 pack we would have put that in the specifications. We put in what any product requires in the requirements section, not what it does not require, but I appreciate your point Wink[/quote]

That is very strange or maybe not ? on testing it was required, that's good news for our ANZ drivers

Yep , Ive got it up and going ..... but to honest , from my point of view (screenshots) its not far off the
old HJG models .
And before you jump on me ..... i said screenshots (my point of view) Sorry i cant help with flight dynamics , nav gear , or toilet seat dimensions .
So , from a subjective point of view , i would rate this 7/10 .

I have been getting email updates from the JF Forum re DC-8 problems with the 50-70 based on my original post there 'Things that need to be fixed'. It seems there are still some really annoying bugs in the VC operation and systems. Don't know why JF don't get the developer to fix this stuff properly before release instead of rushing it out. One of the model developers at SimOutHouse was involved and I respect his work seems he was overruled by management on some stuff to get it to market. Guess I might hold off a bit longer before spending the hard earned cash on this variant despite really wanting this aeroplane I just cant stand the bugs.

Any feedback from you guys here who have bought it and given it a go other than the MS XP system install issues?
