Hey there guy's, can someone tell me, is the current wellington scenery even with the patch for fsx not compatible with Orbx NZNI?

It works perfectly fine, just might need to tweak to some settings a little to make it fit right.

No, it isn't compatible.
Yes, some people have got this to work to some extent, although there will always be some problems which are tricky to solve, and it depends on what issues you can live with.

I have been thinking lately (helped along by a lot of messages and suggestions following some recent discussions about the future of NZ scenery, in particular FTX airports) that it might be a good idea to include the photoscenery which I've completed for the new Real NZ NZWN into the Subscription, and that way I could adapt the old Real NZ Wellington airport to fit. This would give FTX compatibility, as it includes its own mesh, and was designed that way from the start.

I know I said that Wellington wouldn't be part of the subscription, but this is one way to make sure that the work I've done so far (minus the new airport, which is only partly completed, so won't be included until it is finished) at least sees the light of day before I'm too old to finish it...

And this may help to fast-track the completion of the airport, as I'd be keen to devote a large chunk of the subscription to finishing it, provided the subscription was selling ok. The idea of the subscription was to cover the cost of completing a few nice airports, anyway, but at the moment it isn't working out that way, as I'd need a few subscription sales each week to be able to afford to visit some airports. By now, I should have been able to visit Hawke's Bay, and be partway through Napier Airport and Hastings aerodrome. Things may pick up a bit when I release the Hawke's Bay photoscenery, as I know there are some people waiting for a North Island release to subscribe, but that may not happen.

I would adapt the existing NZWN to fit he new photoscenery, but it would be subscription-only initially. Once the new Wellington scenery is completed, it will be released as a stand-alone, but by then I would hope that subscribers would already have it.

Just an idea I'm kicking around at the moment.

Anything we can do to support you. I'm looking for a few regionals to chuck my Q400 at, but I know you can't just dream up some models and textures out of thin air....wouldn't that be neat
