Saitek rudder pedal setup.

My Saitek pedals seem to have a lot of play in them and take quite some movement to initially respond.I want slow and heavy.What settings might achieve this?Also re the throttle quadrant settings- I see on Youtube that they set the throttle up from the yoke and not the throttle itself.I have difficulty getting max rpm in a 172,initially 2400 but it quickly drops back to 2100-any suggestions re setting that might fix this?

I would delete the flight, and create new one , just something silly that happens - affecting the controls like that , I had the DC-3 couple weeks back do the very similar thing except it was the ailerons with me and even recent a CS C130 MP had silly issues , I'd start there .

Have you got the original Pro Flight Rudder Pedals or the newer Combat Rudder Pedals?

Either way, both have a circular dial at the centre of the base unit to adjust the pedal travel tension.

In FSX, you can also adjust control axis sensitivity and null zones- I'd drop the sensitivity right down on the rudder axis and broaden the null zone perhaps.

Recalibrating the yoke axis through your Windows Control Panel > Gaming Controllers might fix your RPM issue in the 172 also. However, if it the issue doesn't occur in other addon aircraft, the reduction in revs might be a realism induced power loss?

I change the sensitivity depending on aircraft type. They're down to around 38% at the moment for the GA style I fly. I also found them far too wiggly at Saitek's recommended 50%. Null zone sits around 5%, any higher and it gets noticeably jumpy transitioning from null zone to the live zone. This would again depend on what sized aircraft you fly I guess.

No idea re the throttle flicking- try looking through the Saitek FAQ pages maybe.
