Another photo the stands out here is the Mosquito and the Me262 , the box art from the Airfix company had a drawing/painting, done in the mid 1970s and as a new twin aircraft set.

It was the first time since WW2 that a Mosquito and Me 262 have been caught together in the same bit of sky but as friends.
The downside is that apart from the photo's I took the only people that got to see this sight was the camera ship pilot and me.
Jerry's grass airstrip is not suitable for the 262 so it is based 30 minutes flying time away at Suffolk.

So we took off with the Mossie and met up with the 262 over some great looking swamp land and I hope both can fly for an airshow crowd together at the show next year which I suggested.
It takes a lot to impress Jerry but he was so pleased with the photos of the pair and will never forget the sound of these two up close alongside.

Once we finished with these two the Spitfire and Wildcat were orbiting in the other direction waiting so we shot across to meet them.
Spitfire was a back up in case the 262 or Mossie broke down, and the Wildcat, well I just asked to fly with that which the pilot was more than happy to do.
Those two are amongst the most original restorations of their types flying.

Also flew with the Corsair, Mustang, Hurricane and the stunning Kittyhawk.
We also put the Skyraider and Corsair together and what a fantastic pair, we paired the Spitfire and Hurricane on another flight as well.

An awesome week, but tiring flying so far and we flew seven hours in the Texan camera plane.
Took 40 hours to get there in one hit, it was 9.00am in the morning when I stepped off the plane and we got straight into, flew all day, then a BBQ so pretty much a 55 hour day and was a train wreck after that!!

Is good to be able to carry on and fly with lots more aircraft, always strive to not follow or post images of the same aircraft all the time.

Gav , those photo's come out seriously superb ... I am still seriously captured by that very first photo, if anyone needed a true profile that Hurricane one hit the spot !

I missed the Wildcat at Wanaka show, simply required to be somewhere else on the weekend.
The Mosquito - showing a good description is the share size off the propeller disk and how well really shown in the photo.
