Sean chooses the time best to suit him, good thing is it normally mid after, mention this now , currently reinstall FSX - some reason all the FTX shut down and there was no fix, this gives me the week to adjust and get things ready... hopefully we get to see a lot more people join in.

Not good news... hope you are up & running again soon. If you do get a chance I wouldn't mind having a quick try-out with MP, like to see how my low end PC handles it before I join any group events

Friday night my time is early afternoon on Saturday over there, so any time in the 1pm to 3pm start-time range (on your end) would work for me.
Let's try with the default DC-3 initially and see what happens from there.

I'll let you know if any plans change, but so far this weekend looks like it'll be quiet for me.

Who else wants to join in?

And letting people know , Default , you can also fly the JustFight DC-3 , the Manfred Jahn model and the AwesomeFoursome , all four register and they have the same size count while running an MP and they look DC-3 .

Fact is all model were built from the Microsoft base and I have seen and experienced a Multiplay with so that, the only difference is the paints, the MJ model would preferable you many simply because the work done to it with smooth and other details, but you can join without feeling left out !

The DC-3 I am not sure about is FS9/2004 porting over the MAAM model but I am guessing this would simply show up as a default FSX to the rest of us joining in .

So this makes it no excuse for peoples not to join It is preferable to use team speak , Other big there are hundreds of Superb paints ..

I have been in company with just under 40 DC-3 in a MP .... IT REALLY IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE ! cool.gif

We could always invited Manfred and his team, Jan Visser along for the ride, quite other I have organized and been promoting the afternoon and for most areas around the country it looks to be a horrid day regard weather so may be the idea afternoon entertainment.

The insurmountable problem that I always seem to run into, is getting connected to Ian's private, "local-area", Server!
Even with Ian on-line in the Forum, a Multiplayer connection to Ian's IP address, in FSX Multiplayer, fails to connect!
..whereas a connection to any of the multitude of "FS Host Servers", 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, is connected in seconds...and I am away!

At the moment on... fsmpa.hopto.org....In FS Host!..instant connection!

At one time we all used "INSpire" as the FS Host Server for our NZ flights, (Sean TK used to organise those flights), but that has since disappeared, but there are many more FS Host Servers available to use!

I miss out on all the NZ Multiplayer Flights because of the difficulty of obtaining "Local Area" private connections!

Its a buggar!.... sad.gif ...!

Paul....Multiplaying in Central California!... biggrin.gif ...!

Got it, Ian... winkyy.gif ....

A bit of a shame, as its always nice to give a shout to anyone to join in on a flight on one of the 24-hour (FS Host) servers!

It used to work, many years ago, with loads of fun, but no one seems to be interested in "Multiplayer" any more!

We used to enjoy getting together to fly various week-end Tours in different parts of the world...highly educational, and loads of fun, with lots of laughs!

FS 2002 and FS 2004 was good for that...together with FS Navigator!!

Paul...living in the past!.... rolleyes.gif ....!

Would not worry about the living the past good old days , we were lucky they're friggen GREAT ! .. well hell we used to have a regular 12/15 peoples when Gamespy was running and all sorts of different type off running around in MP FS on a quiet night .. there are the doers and there are the talkers .

Think once many see how much fun it is for a couple off hours .. the ole cry will be "when is this happening next" ..

Start time will be (considering timezones)

US Eastern = 9:30pm on Friday

Which equals....
1:30pm on Saturday in New Zealand.

In addition to the above posted timezones, the route will be as follows (at a minimum)...

NZHN - NZAP - NZNR.

Perhaps we'll go further as well.

High quality freeware scenery is available for all three of these airports.
