Hi Robin,
I know it must be something g simple, but I have some airstrip elevation issues with subscription 1,

Okarito Lagoon

Okarito Lagoon

Rivers Mouth

Rivers Mouth

Rivers Mouth

Haast Beach seems to be just fine, so I am picking it is something simple.....I hope.
I am running ORBX NZSI and NZNI.

Any ideas Robin ?

If the installer finds FTX NZSI installed, it will change the elevations in some areas, but it looks like this might not have worked for you. The most obvious reason might be scenery priority? You must set the FTX priority using their tool to make sure that using FTX Central doesn't put FTX back on top of the scenery library list every time you change regions. If you've done this, though, then you might need to reinstall part 2 of the sub, after first confirming that you have a default FTX install -- that is, the Orbx folder is in your main FSX folder.

You can also check to see if the installer actually put the FTX changes in place, the simplest way to do that is to check Scenery\World\Scenery and see which file is active for Neils Beach -- search for NZKL0 (that's a zero) -- and see whether the active stub file has 'GZ' or 'FTX' in the filename. It should have 'FTX'.

I did mention the water elevations previously, though. Orbx use a 'programmed' elevation change for rivers etc, which don't work well with New Zealand's braided rivers. At the mouth of a braided river, for instance, there might be 3 or 4 different programmed elevations, none of which are actually correct. Getting the photo to sit well on top of Orbx's altered elevations is impossible without redoing all the elevations, and I don't plan to do that. However the more obvious ones were tweaked close to the airstrips, so I think that Okarito, for instance, should fit better than your screenshots show.

Sorry, all, there was a file missing from the West Coast Airstrips, which gave the wrong elevation at Neils Beach (Rivers Mouth) using FTX NZSI. Here's a wee patch which should fix it. I'd appreciate a couple of FTX users installing the patch and reporting back, just so I know it works for everyone.

The current download on the Godzone Photoscenery Subscription site includes the correction, so if you want to archive the installers, you might want to re-download this part of the subscription. See the 'readme' in the attached patch for details.

The patch download is now available from the Subscription site.

I ran the patch (with NZSI active) and my Neil's Beach airport is still looking like Phil's screenshots at the beginning of the thread?

Sorry about that. Can you send me through a file list from Godzone\GZ9347Airfields\Scenery?
The easiest way to do that is to shift-right click in the folder, click on 'open command window here', then type or copy/paste:

dir > dir.txt EDIT: oops, then press 'enter'

...then 'exit', and send me the resulting dir.txt file.

Also, let me know if you have made any changes from the default NZSI installation, such as moved files elsewhere.

Thanks for that. A couple of things are apparent:

-The original install recognised the fact that you have NZSI installed;
-The patch didn't work.

I'll need to look at this tomorrow, as the patch uses the same code as the original installer to find the FSX location, and check for NZSI. Something else must be getting in the way.

I have made some changes to the patch, though, as it did include some code to act as a simple switcher, but as this was not finished I've just removed the extra bits. I've therefore removed the patch from NZFF, so it is just available from the Subscriber site now.

I might add some reporting steps to the code tomorrow, and we'll see where things go off the rails.
