Air New Zealand are evaluating the A350 and 777x as 777 replacements..hence the trip here

They did the same starting as far back as 1974 , A300B , I checked out other coming thru .. BAe /CASA and a few others .. One thing I can say is least we get to see the offerings .. Even if we don't like em .

Its funny how to compare company's and how are going today, engineering has gone to the glue pot which was to happen, few years time if your heading East to West it will be ARRBOE and heading West to East it will be BOEARR , one notable thing happened many years ago were they flew the A340 from France to New Zealand with the logo "world longest ranged aircraft" or something like that on the fuselage.

A350 development aircraft is to visit Sydney on 4 August and continue to Auckland on 5 August.

A350 due into AKL around 1900 on the 5th ex Sydney and departs 1500-ish 6th to Santiago, Chile.
