Cold in Nelson too this morning. My fingertips were like ice blocks getting off my motorbike at work just before 8am. Bring back summer!

Freezing up here at Auckland, just 7 degrees and my hands are cold, but using my iPad in bed accessing this forum.

When I went to school, it was like Antarctica, so cold that I needed a heater!

And long may it stay cold, well, another day or so anyway. Me and the whanau are off to Ohakune on Sat for 4 days, mostly an R&R trip but if the mountains open we'll be off for a ski too. Wippeeee !!!!

As somone who only gets to spend a month each year in NZ, I felt quite honoured to be present on the day snowflakes fell in Auckland for the first time since 1939. That was during the polar storm of August 2009.

I spend eleven months of the year in the UK and one in NZ. I'm hoping to improve that... ;-)
