I had a little chuckle .. on another forum one mention P3 Orion's did not smoke .... whiles waiting for the NH-90 debut to arrive at Wigram our eyes scanned the sky ... one pointed in one direction on the horizon, next thing Barf standing beside me says , "Nah just a bloody old smoky Herc" biggrin.gif

Pretty much the extent of the pics for this visit, I Managed to get stuck in traffic on the way to the airport after I spotted the herk in the circuit, Pic's are of last touch & go. New_Zealand_etc.gif

Amazing how much quieter the Herc is today, early LC's out of CHC heading out for the ICE did have a louder sound signature, least in the 1970s early 1980s ... today they have been adjusted with less the sound - go's with todays no noise .

Think it's actually the Camera Wind cut function & wind on the day cutting down the Herc's sound in the vid, the wake sound after the C-130 (or P-3 for that matter) has passed over head sounds pretty cool.gif like a really strong rush of wind.
May also be of interest re: C-130's
