After the flurry of 787 pics from our southern colleagues, I felt a need to examine this aircraft again in the sim.
Here's a small clip of the landing, wings flexed, talons outstretched...

Again makes me marvel at the skill of Hiroshi and team, who make these planes for our enjoyment.
And also, at the depth of the MS sim: I "flew" this one in all the way from Doha and didn't break it...

Yeah!
It's the TSS soundset I mentioned previously - they are top rate, I have several including the best Merlin noise I've heard on a P-51.
Although the 787 is a little too quiet for my liking.. probably just like the real thing!

It was wasnt Ian (quiet) we were only about 100mtrs away, and it was almost electric ....and the take off was the same .
Still love it though ...but do you remember the old 73's with the long engines .... ahhhh , vibration for 2kms , smoke , and the decibel's ....the good old days .

Marty, you are waay too soft on that pilot!
Coming in a bit hot, bit of a bounce! and then snaking down the rollout.
It's what happens when the captain is more concerned with the scenery than flying the plane...

I once stood under the take-off path of a loaded Concorde, and was grateful I didn't live within 5km! Can't think of any civilian plane louder...

Had a row off 13 automatic lathes working away not to mention CNCs in the front and a compressor chugging away , couple had silent bar feeds but the workshop was a good 8/9km away .. when Concorde left for OZ every-time ... Are there you go I said to workmates That's Concorde.
