Can anyone recommend a Cessna 172 or similar small aircraft for FSX with a GPS?. Something simple to get me back into FS.

Do you like it?. It seems to have all he bells and whistles and I guess I would have to spend that much to get what I want. I suppose the free ones are not worth having?.

I pretty much have all the A2A aircraft bar the Cub, Worth getting , I've only had maybe a total of 12 to 15 hours maybe half that actually flying one, I think you would be very very happy with all the little extras, it was the earlier A2A products that sold me .. heck never let me down yet for the real feel.

It certainly sounds good. There is not much to choose from in the FSX program.

Personally - for the fun .. slow and slower if required for a lessor price ... tho been told its UGLY as hell .. I'd get the SIBWINGS AN-2 http://www.sibwings.com/an2.php , It has all the A2A features - you would be required to buy some of the gear , yoke- throttle and rudder-peddles for realism .. same said for the A2A Cessna .. but all out fun and a little fast but can land just the same as a Cessna ... something about it that make it SOoooo interesting , course to finish that package the one and only aircraft in New Zealand, now a Museum piece in Wanaka has been painted by Adamski and is posted at OZx .

If your mostly interested in the GPS and training then maybe use the default C172 but slip a nice payware GPS in there from RealityXP?...

A2A C172 is a great little machine packed with some real cool features to replicate real world functions of the aircraft. I have personally flown the C172 multiple time IRL and with A2A latest update it has resolved some of the issues making it even more realistic than ever.

If you want to get a head start on more complex aircraft while using practically the same type (Cessna 172), Alabeo just released the 172RG Cutlass for FSX.

Well, the A2A is out of question as the best aircraft in it´s categorie... but...

She is a aircraft with a bitof work around for such an Little Thing. If I want to use an aircraft only flying for fun after work use the Cessna Cardinal and the Cessna 162 made by flight1.com
