Computer Upgrade Needed?

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby Pato » Thu Jan 16, 2014 10:35 am

I want to run FSX and Acceleration, VLC or Orbx. In the past I have been able to run FS9 fairly well. My computer is getting a bit old now.
Can any of you computer experts have a look at my system details and comment.
If I need to get it upgraded can I have your recommendations please.

Asus P8 Z77-V with Intel Core i7 3770k

or

Asus Z87 Pro with Intel Core i7 4770K

G-Skill F3-1600C9D-16GXM

GeForce GTX660Ti

A SSD will also speed up load times.

I follow Rocky's SSD for the OS , but put in a Raptor 10200 HD for your FS or that only, so many chopping and changing with flight sim .. and if your SSD packs a sad , little or no warning and you will looses all information and data.
