Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Actually, when the TDS 737 was released, I wagged a finger at someone for doing what I just did smile.gif
I guess when you look at what's been done to what standard for each flavour, there's room for one more!
And one more after that...

The QW 787 to me, is much bigger news.
I don't hold out too much hope, but maybe just maybe there will be an FS9 version of it...

Wow Alister, I hope you weren't involved in that locked topic, 15 months ago!
I detect some of the acrimony that split POSKY in there, and indeed TDS spiked everyone's guns with an early 787 release.

I'm actually quite content with it; the only reason I would want a good payware model is to ogle the VC.
Meantime we have the benefit of any number of freeware tweaks on the TDS model, plus dozens of liveries.
I grabbed a China Southern repaint this morning coincidentally, a twice-a-week visitor to Auckland nowadays.

At the rate QW are (not) progressing, they'd better be making sure P3Dv2 is in the picture too.

Edit: I did say maybe just maybe for FS9, because Corey said:
"While it is unlikely that we will make an FS9 version of the U787, we MAY re-explore the work required for a conversion once the U787 for FSX is a stable product."
Personally I think there is an FS9 market for this airliner, unlike the 146 which did not do well.
The latest WOAI Emirates update for FS9 has amassed over 72,000 downloads! that surely indicates there is a tubeliner market out there.

Charl we established a few months back there are only a handful of us even here at NZFF that use FS9 regularly. But I too would prefer to see their addon go out for FS9 and FSX. It's something I rate them highly for doing.
I wasn't involved in that conversation, just remember it popping up in my Facebook newsfeed (no time for a million forums now days)
I imagine their BAE146/Avro didn't sell so well as not many simmers want to fly obsolete planes. We virtual airline guys want to fly current model planes with current schedules. Had there been a current operator of the baby jumbo in the USA, maybe it would have sold better. There's a reason why addon developers all build the same planes! They are the ones that sell.
I would be tempted to buy the Razbam Metro for example, but no one flies it from the airlines I actually want to simulate. Now the Embraer 120 they are working on, that's a different story! (United and Delta both use) THAT will be a big seller.
