Flightsim Multiplayer Server down...

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

..after a number of very pleasant hours touring around California today in my FS 2004+FS Navigator, and my FSX+ FS Tramp; the FS Host... fsmpa.hopto.org ....Multiplayer Server decided to got to the Multiplayer Server Heaven in the sky, and I/we got disconnected... sad.gif ...!

Very unusual, as its a regular Server for my/our explorations.

Lets hope it comes back on-line again soon...unlike my other favourite; "WS Pilots" Server for Multiplayer which is now lost without trace.... sad.gif ...!

I've been a regular user of on-line Multiplayer since the days of 2-hour Dial-up Internet with FS 2002, followed up with FS 2004, both using FS Navigator for our "RADAR" display.

Since adding some very nice scenery goodies, (FTX Global+UT USA, etc), to my old version of FSX, I am now also enjoying FSX multiplayer on-line via FS Host, now with the added benefit of also using ATC, (which was not available on FS 2002 & FS 2004 Multiplayer).

Chatting with ATC on FSX passes the time whilst waiting for someone to turn up in the Multiplayer Server!..... winkyy.gif ....!

With the very long list of FS Host Servers seen on "FS Host Spy", I am always surprised that so few folks use Multiplayer any more, like they did in the olden days!.... sad.gif ...!
..its a good way of meeting folks, and having a laugh!

Paul...FS 2004+FSX.......Its a very lonely life on Multiplayer nowadays..... sad.gif ...!

One of the biggest bonus's using Team Speak 3 as well with NZFF having its own channel for even just the general chat but course ideal in MPs cool.gif

Well I bin clocking up dozens
of hrs in MP .... but just use the "out of the box" Fsx multiplayer setup.

Servers..... well we either host ourselves, or use one of the
2 DTP(Digital Theme Park) servers, one of which is set to UTC the other at UTC -8

DTP also provide TS3 and have given us our own (OZx Flying Club) dedicated channel
for comms.

Checking if anyone is online........ easy

These two maps show it all

http://www.fsopen.co.uk/maps/index2.php?HostID=2878

http://www.fsopen.co.uk/maps/index2.php?HostID=2879

I would be great to get some trans tasman sessions going in the new year.

Cheers
