FSX Crashing

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby Barrington » Mon Dec 23, 2013 4:46 pm

I have no problem starting up FSX and flying, but when I try to end or save a flight or do something else,
FSX advises that a fatal error has occurred and needs to restart. Then there is a dialogue box that says
'This feature requires that (smartassembly) is available on this computer...............
If anyone out there has and ideas or solutions I would be most appreciative of their input - it may save me
having to do a complete reinstall!!

This might help, especially the last post in the thread.

A recent Windows Update included a fairly huge patch for the .NET Framework gubbins, and maybe if you did not accept/install that, and then later installed a new scenery or whatever which depends on the latest .NET Framework, that could have caused this problem.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'
