Few questions re your system.

What is the motherboard?

You've got i7 3.5 Ghz
I'm assuming that's a i7 4770K

You've got 12 GB memory.
An odd amount.
Means you cant run dual channel.
What are the memory specs

Is win7 fully patched & updated?
What antivirus are you running?
When you run FSX do you have win updates on auto?

Where is FSX installed on you Hard drive?

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z77M series one not sure which exact model
The I7 is a I7-3770 3.40 GHZ
Memory Specs - 1x 4GB Adata Stick and 1x 8 GB

Win 7 is patched and updated
I dont have any Antivirus program as the computer is never connected to the Internet
Win Updates is off

FSX is installed in default location on Local disc C

FYI I tried another Nivida card brand new today and it made no difference, so there must be something else wrong wouldn't have a clue though

PLEASE HELP!!

Hiya, at the risk of sounding like a know it all or the like....I have quickly learnt when setting up a PC for gaming its certainly a good idea to have good measures in places for system restore options and also system imaging. With todays complex add ons etc theres such an array of total 'balls ups' out there waiting to raise their ugly heads. After multiple reinstalls of windows and fsx its a lesson well learnt. Wait a couple days maybe, have a wee break and start from scratch and slowly work your way through set up. Ive had trouble lately with NVIDIA drivers of all types playing havoc with display and sound...Graphics stop responding and recovered error thingy...a real pain the you know where!!

Why do you have one 4GB stick and one 8GB? Surely you would want 2 (or 2 pair) of equal sized/compatible sticks in there as that board seems to have 4-slots available?
Also, this is probably unlikely, but you mention the machine is not connected to the Net, ever. I wonder if there's some weird activation thing that's not able to complete for some of that payware scenery due to the machine being offline?

The reason I have a 8GB and A 4GB is because I was waiting for one more stick to turn up, and they sent a 8GB stick by accident, maybe I could take out the 4GB stick and just have 1 8GB stick?

The machine was connected when installing the software obviously to validate it all this was also the same situation on my old computer

I'd be betting its related to to those un-matched DIMMS. To take advantage of the dual-channel stuff you really need two sticks dont you? so if I were you I'd ask for the original 4GB stick, or buy another matching 8GB

You may not like what I am going to sugest.
I could compose a lengthy document sugesting remedies to your current problem, which you may or may not take any notice of.
But I think your main problem is, you may be exeeding your ability to set the system up to run the way you want it.
Maybe find someone to do it for you.
It may cost you, but at the end of the day it would be a shame to cook up one of your new componants.

A Lengthy document would be good, but why should it be so hard to have FSX run satisfactorily?

That is my point, it's not hard at all.

Here is your lengthy document.

Once you've got through that, you'll be an expert.

This location is not recommended for windows 7 or windows 8 (remember that FSX came out when windows XP was still a current product!

You should install FSX into the root directory, not the program files directory. However, in my opinion, this is probably not the cause of your problem.

Well I'v finally got my stupid issue sorted! I found that those stupid visuals were caused from a setting I made in the FSX.cfg

So deleted it and away I went! soooo stupid of me not to even think of doing that before I tried every other flogging thing!

So I will be posting pics again shortly! oh and as a reward I bought myself the PMDG 737 NGX! - looks awesome!

Oh and by the way sorry to get everyone trying to help me when it was only a small issue especially you rocky289, Iv also had a bit of a look at http://www.simforums.com/forums/the-fsx-co...topic46211.html some good reading matter there!

Good to hear you have it sorted Terry, but come on mate, with all the help you get here do you think you could share the actual setting that caused the problem?

All sorted. I only just saw the post and have some input.

Whenever you see any visuals like in those three screenshots, it is the FSX settings. I have seen almost every single variation when installing ORBX scenery and running it for the first time.

Screenshots 1 & 2 are texture filtering issues
Screenshot 3 is a scenery layering issue

It is bloody hard work getting your FSX rig stable, but the best advice I got recently was tops and my system has never run so good and the visuals so crisp.

It suggested, applying the FSX.cfg High MEM, WideScreen and bufferpools fixes and then setting up NVidia Inspector as per this link...http://forum.avsim.net/topic/324786-nvi ... -settings/

That was it. And to be honest, given the results, I have no idea why I continually tried all these FSX guides and the Jesus Tweaks for years and years. They were a complete waste of time.
