F4U Corsair free update!

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Hi guys,

These guys are amazing, they released a free upgrade package for the Aircraft Factory Corsair. It's basically a Racer package but it's far more then just new textures:

- New FDE - re-written from scratch to align to this FG-1D version
- Model updates
- More in-depth system simulation

This is one of my favorite aircrafts, but wasn't flying it much due to the overly "tricky" FDE and the lack of system simulations/failures.

Have a look here:

I suggest you check out their handbook for further details.

Dan

Looks like the Corsair gets even more treats this week:

New VC textures (a bit darker, with more contrast and shadows). Look for f4u_vc_update.zip on flightsim.com.

I was checking that this morning , i thought it could do with more enhancing around the gauges tho the panel is very 1943 from the US National Archives , WWII made aircraft functional and lessor degree a less ergonomic as possible .

Just to Rip ya shorts Dan , New Zealand had the oldest Corsair flying in the world , 1995 I was at work .. no i was'nt , yes i was but outside - Saturday morning a week before the Wigram 50th VE day celebrations , Kieth Skilling putting a F4U-1A Birdcage thru its paces and getting to no Wigram - now hangered and retired in a Brazilian Museum ... wonder if we could get .. do a nudge nudge and see if it could be remodeled , may be me worth asking ? smile.gif
