Flickering/Shimmering in FSX

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi all,

I got a nw rig a few months ago and am very impressed as it runs FSX at great frame rates etc. However one thing has been there all along, and that is flickering of distant textures and also constant moving of textures on some aircraft. By the latter, for instance my Carenado Merdian has about 8 maroon lines as part of the livery on the fuselage. When I am in "Spot" view, these lines are constantly shimmering/moving - never just staying still.

What causes this?

My video card is an nVidia GeFORCE GTX 650

Cheers!

Timmo , how do you bump it up.?

I have the same problem with the Milviz F-15 ...... looks like ants walking all over it.
