I thought for a moment I was back on the boats in a moderate sea laugh.gif

It makes you realise how small NZ really is, the number of people I know who left Christchurch only to end up in Marlborough or Wellington. I can imagine that a lot of people are stressing out at the moment, I hope that this is it for now.

Same here Rob ...... the fact that these are occurring on the subduction zone (where the plates meet ) is a worry ..... just hope its not a prelude to an Alpine fault move, in which case ..... arghh , dont want to think about it.

Forgive me if you've read my facebook, but I find it funny that Wellington has claimed these quakes, despite them being closer to Marlborough. Glad to hear you are ok Doug. Not entirely sure if Deane is in BLN or WLG but sounds like he had been evacuated from wherever he is. Hang in there guys!

Jeepers Doug you must be on a bit of sold ground there we cleaning up the mess here a few things broken and cracks in paths and footing of house Friends of ours up ARA have just called out a plumber they have water flooding there section

Sounds like they have copped some damage over there sounds like there could be some buildings that will have to come down if they don't fall down Seddon and spring creak have also copped a bit no power in Seddon and lines down everywhere power came back on in Grovetown about an hour ago
